WHY EDUCATORS SHOULD BE USING TWITTER - Justin Tarte
I've recently discovered the use of twitter for professional reasons and it is highly recommended because you can find out what other teachers from many different countries do in their lessons, the way they work with their students, how they use the ICTs in the classroom and so on. Come on, join TWITTER, what are you waiting for?
You can watch the following video, by Justin Tarte

BLOG SETTINGS
There are some tabs you have to be familiar with. They are 'posting', 'comments', 'settings', 'design', 'monetise' and 'stats'.
To begin with, have a look at 'settings'. There you can, for example, delete or export your blog, choose the time zone, the language, the date header format, decide who you want to see your blog, and so on.If you click on 'stats', you will be able to see how many people have visited your blog, where from, etc.
Some other tabs I would like to comment on are 'design' and 'posting'.
Posting allows you to start a new post, edit all your posts (edit, view and delete) and edit pages. In order to publish a new post you can go to this tab or click on 'new post' on the top right part of your blog.
Design is where you can add and arrage page elements called gadgets (labels, slideshow, text, search box, link lists, text, etc) and choose the template designer.

CREATE A BLOG WITH "BLOGGER"
- First, open an email account on gmail (if you don't have one yet).
- Second, go to "blogger" and create the blog. Put the name you want to appear on it (it can be changed later on) and then type the name of your blog; if the name you have chosen is not available, you'll have to think of a new one. The name you choose cannot be changed later. You can name it, for example, tic-ict.blogspot.com
- Choose a template.
- Begin publishing posts.
BOOKMARKS. ORGANISING, IMPORTING AND EXPORTING BOOKMARKS.
Can you rermember all your favourite site addresses? I don't think so. Both Mozilla and Internet Explorer help you do that.
In order to have all your bookmarks well organised so that you don't waste your time looking for them, you should create folders and name them in the way you want to, so that you can find them easily. Have a look at the picture on the right.

Remember in Mozilla they are called bookmarks, "marcadores" (in Spanish) and in Internet Explorer favourites, "Favoritos" (in Spanish).
Once you have all your bookmarks ready at work, for example, you can take them home. How? You have to export them on your memory stick and then import them from your memory stick to your computer.
It is simple and very useful!
Use "File" --> "Export", or "File" --> "Import", depending on the case.
